Administrative HistoryThis school was originally Congleton St Stephen's C E Junior School. St Stephen's School opened in Spragg Street in 1849. Transfer of the staff and pupils to premises in New Street formerly occupied by the Girls' Secondary School was completed in 1969, when the school was renamed Daven County Junior
